Since they were founded in 1899 the Gulls have experienced numerous promotions, relegations, final day-deciders and Wembley appearances.
They have also helped to launch the playing careers of several top professionals, including Ralph Birkett, Don Welsh, Keith Curle and Lee Sharpe.
Well known managers such as Frank O’Farrell and Bruce Rioch served their apprenticeships at Plainmoor before going on to manage at the highest level.
